The exposition: "Divers, art actual i diversitat cultural" at the cultural space “la nau” at Valencia, was one of the first ocasions that Monique was showing her art in Spain.
Exposed there was her instalation: “Nunca llueve a gusto de todos”
(frase stating that one can’t make everbody happy at the same time) and consisted of a number of drawings on paper.
Eventhough she already used watercolor along with the chines ink, the vast majority of her artworks were still in black and white.
Monique always stated her artwork to be figurative, but the photo of the art catalogue edited with the exposition of young upcomming painters shows us that the paintings she made were on the very edge of being figurative.
